Lostwithiel (30 minutes drive) is one of the most vibrant communities in Cornwall. Famous for it’s antique shops there are also lots of small, independent stores too. Late night shopping is every Thursday throughout December.
Having exhausted Lostwithiel you can either walk (via the Restormel Walking Trail – 40 minutes), or drive (6 minutes) to the beautiful Duchy Nursery. Christmas shopping and Supper evenings will be held on 2nd/3rd & 9th/10th December.
For a day out further afield, St Ives (40 minutes drive) has lots of Christmas events planned, including a lantern parade and farmers markets. There is a great shop in the Tate St Ives as well as many small, unique stores around the town.
