BBQ

Every week we cook up delicious burgers from our own cows and locally-sourced sausages over the grill in our BBQ shack. The money raised from the weekly BBQ’s is donated to charities and local organisations.

The charities we are supporting for 2024 are: Bowel Cancer UK, East Cornwall Search & Rescue Team and Wadebridge Young Farmers Club.

In 2023 we raised £3000 for Motor Neurone Disease Association and £2000 for Polzeath Surf Lifesave Club. In total over the last 5 years these BBQ’s have raised over £20,000 and other charities we have supported include Dementia UK, Avalon Youth Theatre, Wadebridge Cricket Club, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Wadebridge Tennis Club, Wadebridge Beavers, Wadebridge Camels RFC, Cornwall Air Ambulance and Polzeath Coastguard. We ask for a donation per burger/hotdog and drinks are complimentary – experience Sharp’s Doombar, named after the local sandbar off Padstow, wine and soft drinks. (N.B. If you are vegetarian, please bring your own choice for the grill.)

It’s a great way for children to make new friends and enjoy a delicious dinner.

In the Easter and October holidays, the BBQ is usually themed.
