Here are the answers to some of the questions we’re asked most often. If there’s anything else you need to know, please call us on 01208 813219 or email [email protected].

All the cottages are located around the facilities – the furthest is about a minute’s walk.  Please have a look at our Cottage Map to find out more.

 

What animals do you have on the farm?

The farm is a live working farm with sheep and cattle. Our pets corner has friendly chickens, goats, pigs, and guinea pigs. You can help Kevin in the mornings feed the animals and collect the eggs.

How far from the nearest beach?

Our closest beaches are Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath and are roughly eight minutes in a car.

Do you have wi-fi?

We have wi-fi in all our cottages. If you need to access a PC and printer you can call at reception.

How far is the village pub?

The local shop and pub are a three minute walk into the village, approximately 200 metres from the main entrance.

Will our beds be ready for us on arrival?

Yes, we’ll make sure they’re all ready for you on arrival.

Are your cottages suitable young families?

All our cottages are suitable for families and young children. We can supply cots, small put-up beds, high chairs and stair gates free of charge.

Are your cottages suitable for couples?

Outside of school holiday season, our cottages are ideal for couples wanting a peaceful or romantic getaway.  With great beaches, restaurants and walks all within a few minutes of us, it makes a great base for exploring the rest of Cornwall.

Do you allow groups?

We have two larger cottages which both sleep 10.  Family and friends can take several cottages to all be together.

Are the washing and drying facilities free?

Yes, we have 2 laundries here on the farm both free of charge.

Is there a shop on site?

Not on-site but there is a shop and post office in the village, a few minutes walk away. However, on-site we have Penpont Store which has an honesty box & sells toilet rolls, laundry tablets, swim nappies, charcoal, matches etc. You can also borrow many useful items.

Do you take dogs?

Yes, most of the cottages are dog friendly. There is a small charge for bringing dogs or cats.

What is the temperature of the pool?

We have an swimming pool and children’s pool heated by a biomass boiler. We keep both pools at approx. 31 degree C. There are steps and a handrail to enter the pool. We also have a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Everything is open all year round.

Are towels provided?

Yes, cottage towels are provided. This includes one bath towel and a small hand towel per person. Swimming towels are not provided so you will need to remember to bring these.

Do you have cottage floor plans?

You can view our farm map here and all cottages have floor plans on their listing pages.

Do you supply cots?

We can supply a full size (120cm x 70cm) wooden cots and all bedding.

When do you run your woodland fun?

We run our woodland fun activities during the school holidays.

Can I book a short break?

Short breaks of 2 or more nights are available from September to the end of May. We do have some short breaks available out side of these time but you will need to phone us for details. Please call us on 01208 813219 for more information.

Changeovers days?

During the school holidays only 7 night bookings are allowed.  During this time some cottages have Friday as their changeover days and some have Saturday changeovers.

When’s my balance due?

Your balance is due 4 weeks before your holiday’s due to start. We’ll send you an email reminder to let you know when your balance is due.

When is the reception open?

The reception is open between 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am and 6pm on Saturdays. Our mobile numbers are on the office door if you need to get hold of us in an emergency.

What time can we check in/check out?

Check in time is 4.30pm on your day of arrival and checkout is 9.30am on your departure day.

We’ll be arriving later than 6pm, what should we do?

Please let us know if you’ll be arriving late.  Please locate your cottage from the map on the reception door and let yourself in – the key will be in the door and if it’s dark we will have left the lights on for you.
