Following on from our success at the Cornwall Tourism Awards where we won Gold, we were put through to the South West Tourism Awards, where we won a second Gold!
Shaun and Jaime got dressed up and headed to Exeter Cathedral for the awards ceremony and what a spectacular venue! The Catherdral was lit up beautifully, is was absolutely stunning. Our category was second on the list, so we didn’t have to wait long to find out our fate! It was quite nerve racking listening to the countdown from Bronze to Gold, waiting for our name to be read out. We were over the moon to receive Gold, another to add to our growing collection!!
We could relax for the rest of the evening, not so for our friends at The Ship Inn in Wadebridge, who were second to last in the order of awards, but it was worth the wait as they received Gold for the Best Pub in the South West!
What a wonderful start to our year, following on from the success of last year. We shall strive to continue improving and look to enter the awards again next year following the renovation work to our swimming pool.
