Following a recent school visit and a very interesting pond dipping session, we have decided to offer the guests a chance to explore the ponds on a Tuesday morning during the summer holidays.
Our first trip was on the 22nd July which was a glorious sunny day. Jaime took the children and their parents down to the pond near the bird hide and they found a lot of interesting creatures, including lesser and greater water boatmen, snails, fresh water shrimps and tiny fish. They also saw some magnificent dragonflies and damselflies in an array of colours and could hear the water birds calling amongst the reeds.
Jaime will be running these sessions all through the school holidays on a Tuesday morning from 9.30am. Nets and trays are provided and there is no charge.
