One of our projects we are planning to build this year is a new store. We are looking to convert the small garage opposite Reception. The store will be divided into four areas; things to buy, things to hire, things to borrow and things for free.
Things to buy will include toilet roll, charcoal, washing up liquid, swim nappies and other non perishable items. We will not be selling milk or bread or newspapers, as items like that can be bought at the post office shop in the village, just a short walk away.
Things to hire will include wind breaks, kids wetsuits, baby bouncy chairs, selection of toys, buckets and spades, fold out beach chairs.
Things to borrow will include games, puzzles and books.
Things for free will include eggs, tomatoes, strawberries and other fruits and veg grown on the farm. Guests may also leave unwanted unopened foods that they don’t want to carry home with them.
What we stock in the store will really be up to our guests and to start with it will involve trial and error. We greatly appreciate any suggestions and feedback with ideas on what to stock.
