February Half Term Fun

What an action packed week our guests have had during the recent February Half Term!

We enjoyed a variety of weather, from cold and dry to wet and windy!  All our guests were invited to par-take in our activities of Falconry, Pond Dipping, Woodland Fun and Archery and a new activity, exclusive to February half term; Lucky Lambing.

Lots of families joined the Hawkey Family for a tour of the sheep shed and a talk from Farmer Andrew.  Then there were lots of cuddles to be had from a few day old lambs, before ending the session with the arrival of twin lambs assisted by Olly.  Everyone was thrilled to witness the birth and lots of questions were asked!

As it was National Bird Box Week, we took the opportunity to make bird feeders and boxes during our Woodland Fun session (relocated to the grain store as it was raining!).  The kids did a great job making the boxes, they looked very professional and the families have taken them home to put them up in their gardens in time for this years nesting season.
