Our favourite days out

If you’ve never visited North Cornwall before or perhaps you’re just looking for some inspiration, we’ve put together a few suggestions for the perfect day out.

Spectacular Watergate and the tranquil Japanese Gardens

A day of contrasts! The excitement and adrenaline of the extreme sports happening at Watergate Bay, followed by the tranquility of St Mawgan and the Japanese Gardens.

The Camel Trail and a wander in Wadebridge

This is a day out that requires planning! Depending on the weather and where you’d like to spend more time, it’s a very flexible option with plenty of places to grab refreshments.

Port Isaac and Rough Tor

The trick with this one is to head to Port Isaac before the crowds. Maybe pop there for a wander round, a few photos and a late breakfast, then get out before everyone else arrives!

St Nectan’s Glen and Tintagel Castle

A relatively energetic day, but you can pick and choose which bits to do! We’d recommend booking Tintagel Castle for later in the day so that it’s getting quieter rather than busier, which gives you all morning to explore St Nectan’s Glen and enjoy a picnic in Rocky Valley.
