Surfing in Cornwall

We have some of the best surfing beaches in Europe which brings surfers from all over the world to the North Cornwall coastline.

North Cornwall is the perfect place to learn how to surf and the safe beach of Polzeath combined with our friendly professional surf instructors makes Wavehunters Surf School one of the best places to learn. Wavehunters Surf School is open all year around and excels in providing people of all ages personal attention and specifically tailored surf lessons to suit your individual needs from experienced, committed and professional surf coaches. All our staff are CRB checked, qualified lifeguards, fully qualified surf instructors and experienced in coaching and working with children as well as having a profound knowledge of Polzeath beach.

We offer courses for beginners, improvers, developers and advanced as both private and group lessons. With top of the range facilities and the latest coaching resources Wavehunters Surf School is the natural choice no matter what your level of surfing. We have a variety of learn to surf options making it perfect for children and adults, groups and families, stag and hen groups, corporate events or really just about anyone of any age and ability, Wavehunters will bring you everything you could want from your surfing experience.

During the summer we run lessons at 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm everyday and lessons run for just over 2 hours. Out of season it is best to call for lesson times.

We also have a hire centre located on Polzeath beach which is staffed by our friendly and professional surf instructors who will always ensure you receive the correct advice and most suitable equipment that matches your needs and ability. We offer quality equipment from SUPS, a huge range of surfboards from swells to hard boards, body boards, wetsuits and anything else you could possible need to have fun in the water. We also have a premium hire service where we can delivery your hire equipment to your door.
