3 Hungry Boys

The new 3 Hungry Boys series is starting Sunday 15th Jan 2012 on channel 4 at 7pm. The boys were with us for a couple of day last summer and have now put together a 10 part series. Fingers crossed you might see our solar panels or out shooting some rabbits. Have a look at the trailer for the new series, enjoy!

This week we have just started to get to grips with twitter and facebook and after a lot of playing around on twitter we came across the 3hungryboys
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall from River Cottage has set the Three Hungry Boys a challenge to travel across the South West using only renewable energy sources inspired by energyshare communities.
The boys left River Cottage HQ, in Axminster, on Tuesday 19 June and have five weeks to make it across to the West coast in their electric van, which needs charging every 40 miles - and hits 17mph in full flow. They stayed with us on Friday and Saturday night in exchange for doing some work. We took them straight out in the field and got them driving the combine, filling the grain trailers and loading a trailer full of round bales.
After all of that they were allowed to charge Daisy (their electric milk float) from our new solar panels and have a freshly made pasty each for their tea. We also took them out that evening to find some rabbits, which made a lovely stew for last nights supper (or so they said).
