A track of beautiful countryside for over 17 miles in total. The Trail goes from Padstow through Wadebridge and onto Pooley's Bridge at the foot of Bodmin Moor.
The whole of the Trail is virtually level as it used to be part of the Waterloo to Padstow railway, one of the oldest railways lines in the country.
There is also a lovely tearoom for refreshment along the way to Bodmin and also a pub, The Borough Arms, just before reaching Bodmin. There are picnic benches and tables along the way, so enjoy the view with your picnic.
Bike hire is in plentiful supply at Bridge Bike Hire at the start of the Trail in Wadebridge, please call Nigel on 01208 813050. Bikes of various types can be hired as well as covered child trailers to tow behind. It has been known to see a dog in one!
The Trail is also popular with bird watchers, with a purpose built bird hide half way between Wadebridge and Padstow. Near the start of the Trail at Wadebridge you can purchase maps, reference books, binoculars and all outdoor equipment.
A lovely activity for the whole family.
