National Trust report a Bumper Flower Crop
Each year, the National Trust take the time to count how many of their plants are flowering as spring approaches, and, thanks to a mild January this year, there's a marvellous bloom for anybody taking a self catering Cornwall at the moment. Loads of plants began flowering early and have been joined by even more as March has crept ever closer.

The National Trust properties themselves are a great place to see the bloom. Lanhydrock in particular has had an excellent display this year, and is less than half an hour from our cottages.
Overall, throughout all of the National Trust properties in Cornwall, there have been 1,745 flowering plants counted this year, which is 350 more than were counted last February. Snowdrops, bluebells and daffodils can all be spotted, so it's a great time to get ready for spring and enjoy the Cornish bloom.
