Historical Penzance on show at Penlee Museum
Penzance has been a popular holiday destination for people ever since they began heading to Cornwall to enjoy the fantastic beaches and countryside, but a new set of photos that will be going on display at Penlee Museum may shed some more light on Penzance as a holiday destination and as a historical town.
Photography only came about in the middle of the 19th century, so it's astounding that some of the photos that will be exhibited date from 1850. There should be some interesting finds amongst them, documenting some of the big events that have happened in Penzance over the last 160 years.
